Arizona Cowboy College

  • Lori & Rocco

Lori Bridwell is the owner of the Bridwell Ranch, home of the renowned Arizona Cowboy College™ and the original RM Therapies. Her experience, generosity, and incredible horses are why ACC is a home for neurodiverse peoples to safely experience the cowboy way of life.

Rocco Wachman is the Senior Instructor for ACC, and is always available to lend a helping hand or a bit of wisdom to the RM Therapies students. He is famous for his role in six seasons of Country Music Television’s Original Series: Cowboy U. He is also the founder of Heart Riding Therapy, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting first responders, veterans, and women with equine assisted therapy.

  • Gunner

The mascot of the RM Therapy Herd, Gunner is adored by every student. As Regan’s personal horse, he does not participate in therapy programming, but is always present to offer a snicker, wiggle, or nudge. A frequent observer of sessions, Gunner goes out of his way to make students laugh. When he’s not clowning around, he’s either looking for food or performing his one-of-a-kind water crib.

  • Pistol

The wisest of the herd, Pistol has been/still is a working ranch horse in addition to being part of the therapeutic team. Push button, smooth, and sometimes packed with a punch- Pistol is a patient teacher and as intuitive as they come.

  • Shotgun

An equine veteran, Shotgun has seen and done it all. A valuable teacher in both the riding and unmounted programs, Shotgun demonstrates the art of equine body language and provides the sweetest partnerships to those who are willing to learn it and use it.

  • Deacon

The rock of the riding team, Deacon is always ready and willing to lend his four legs to anyone who needs him. As a senior, he is steadfast, bomb-proof, and trustworthy- so much so, that he will find his way back home to the ranch no matter where a student takes him trail riding.

  • Layla

The lady of the herd (and the only pony) Layla offers a unique warmth, level of connection and sensitivity. A favorite in the unmounted programs, Layla enjoys spending her time being free to play, move, and snuggle with students.

  • Nickel

Also known as “Mini Woo,” Nickel is the most spirited of the herd. More inclined to trot than walk, Nickel likes to demand the respect of a 16 hand horse despite his miniature size. A talented fellow, he can pull a cart in addition to being part of the therapy team.

  • Trinket

The mini-lady of the herd, Trinket is the go to teacher for children and people new or apprehensive about horses. Curious and kind, Trinket will stand still while students hug on and even crawl underneath her.
